Omar Faruque Siddiki obtained M.S.S. in Anthropology, Jahangirnagar University. He worked as a Assistant Director, Dhaka Ahsania Mission; Senior Research Associate, BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University; Staff Researcher, Research and Evaluation Division (RED), BRAC. Over the last fourteen years he has been experiencing with the development process through national and international organizations like BRAC, UNDP-Bangladesh, Oxford Policy Management, UNHCR, Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and some other Voluntary Development organizations at home and abroad. He earned a considerable amount of experience in the areas of Capacity Building, Poverty Alleviation, Livelihood Development, Policy Advocacy, Gender Mainstreaming, Women Empowerment, Partnership Development, Strategic Planning, Environment & Sustainable Development, and Disaster Management. He worked as a consultant with DM.WATCH/Save the Children, CLS/BNWLA. DFID/Oxford Policy Management (OPM), the World Bank /IDS, Sussex University, UK.
